Here are two episodes from July of 2021, featuring readings from Seamus Heaney’s 1991 book, Seeing Things, and interviews with Heaney on the writing of the book.

Seamus Heaney: On "Seeing Things" – Human Voices Wake Us
An episode from 7/14/21: Tonight, I read and comment on interviews that Seamus Heaney gave on the writing of his 1991 book, Seeing Things. Perhaps surpassing even his 1975 collection, North, Seeing Things includes the forty-eight part autobiographical sequence called “Squarings,” and much of the interview that I read from is taken up with these incredible poems.
The interviews are from Dennis O’Driscoll’s Stepping Stones: Interviews with Seamus Heaney.
